I had been trying for months to get a good capture of the Red Bellied Woodpecker. They are a medium sized Woodpecker with beautiful black and white barred plumage and brilliant red cap on the males and red nape for the females. This female was posing quite nicely while perched on the tree branch in Guelph Ontario Canada.
