This beautiful, striking, azure Blue Jay, Cyanocitta cristata, was just a screeching while perched in a Spruce tree in our yard in Guelph Ontario Canada. This urban dweller is unmistakable both for its vivid blue color and its very loud cries which it uses as a warning. This large attractive songbird loves peanuts and will be quite aggressive when another gets too close to its food source.
