Every year, Barrow's Goldeneye winter in large numbers along BC's coast. You can often spot expansive rafts of them diving near the shore, eating blue mussels that they pried from the rocks underwater. It's one of my favourite things to watch when I'm in Vancouver, which is where I captured this photo.
