It was a chilly December 23rd when we stumbled upon this transient killer whale in Fife Sound, British Columbia. Cruising through these raincoast waters, T011A - nicknamed "Rainy" and likely the largest male killer whale in the Pacific Northwest - is an iconic individual who lost his mother this past year. He now travels alone through these coastal waters, meeting up with other whales as he goes.
