A female Maritime Ringlet resting on saltmeadow cordgrass. The Maritime Ringlet is a species of butterfly found only in Canada where it has an extremely restricted distribution around Chaleur Bay in northern New Brunswick and the coast of the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec. Only ten populations are known.
