The drone is really a photographic tool I couldn't go without. When all conditions line up and when it's possible to respect all the laws as well as the animals, beautiful scenes otherwise impossible to see are now accessible. At the end of last year, I had the chance to observe about 200 harp seals off the Rimouski shoreline. Today, despite the much smaller number of animals, I had the opportunity to observe harbor seals on the ice again. The scene was breathtaking; a huge piece of drifting ice covered with snow, three seals at rest, a turquoise water typical of winter and tracks of the seals' movements. A perfect scenario for an aerial image.
