Capturing a bird in flight has always been a challenge. This Red-Tailed Hawk appeared above me while I was walking through the forest one afternoon. It appeared to be just hovering in an updraft allowing me to capture this photo. I think it likely had a nest nearby and was inviting me to move along, which I was happy to do after capturing this photo.
