This summer we were lucky to have a few rare shorebirds showing up on the beach like this Long-billed Dowitcher. A very accommodating bird, just needed to lie down by the beach and it would walk right by you and sometimes just stop and check things out or do a preening session. That sure was a nice close-up of this rare one.
