This is a rare Hawk Owl. It normally spends its time up in the Boreal Mountains up North, but for some reason he travelled south this year so many of us bird lovers got to see him! What an amazing owl to watch as he hunted. Just before he dove down he hovered for a split second so I could capture this photo.
