I was paddling on one of my favourite northern BC lakes when I noticed an animal engaged in a crossing. At first I thought it might be a moose but the shape wasn't quite right. As I got closer I could see that it was a grizzly. I tried not to get too close because I knew that it was feeling pretty vulnerable.
