This is part of a large group of Black Skimmers that were blown onto our shores by Hurricane Dorian. This particular day they had settled in an area of a cove where the tides varied throughout the day. At low tide they would skim for food. They were quite far away separated from me by a body of water. I got this shot when an eagle flew overhead and startled them and they took off and flew around for a bit before settling back down on the sand.
