Towards the end of a day trip through the foot of the Rockies, we stumbled across this adolescent moose on our way home. It felt as if he was being presented to us on stage with the highway immediately falling away beneath his feet. It was a unnerving having the young buck stare at us for what felt like an hour. But in reality he stood there for only a couple of minutes before trotting off into the woods.
