My son and I were out doing some photography in Algonquin Provincial Park. We had encountered many turtles on the road, taking advantage of a very sunny day. We moved them gently off the road, as road mortality for turtles is very high. All of them were Painted Turtles, until we came upon 2 Blanding's Turtles. My son had never seen one before. These 2 were covered in mosquitos!! This poor one had a mosquito sucking blood right from his eyeball!!!!
