Here on the island, there are a pair of Belted Kingfishers, who like to fish in the Inner Harbour of our village, Ganges. I've found it very challenging to catch these feisty birds, but one cold morning this past November this friendly fellow let me take quite a few photos of him as he flew back and forth to his favourite perches. I like this portrait shot because the sun came out from behind the clouds right before he took off again.
