There are pairs of Northern Flickers, who I've tracked during the Spring in Jericho Beach Park, but it wasn't until this past November that I got a rather unusual — for me — shot of one of the males preening. He looks so sweet plopped atop one of his favourite snags, making sure his plumage stays in the best condition.
