In early Spring, I go to Burgoyne Valley to see the friendly swallows, who nest in their human-made homes. They always bring such light and and beauty and joy with them and I'm always captivated by their amazing aerial acrobatics as they zoom all around me. This portrait shot was taken when one of the male mates alighted on his perch above his nest-box. For me, it's as if he's singing — with that lovely, liquid voice which always makes me think of Spring!
