When I visit the south end of the island, I like to check to see if there are any birds in the estuary in Fulford. I love Wigeons and their sweet voices, but most times I've seen them, the light isn't great for photographs. For this shot, I got lucky with the soft morning light in November so you can really see the male's emerald crown.
