This young Crane stayed late into the season here. I watched it catching frogs that he was finding in the water or under the rocks on the shore. I noticed whenever he caught one he would dunk in the water a few times and watch it for a while then pick it up and eat it. I can only guess that the ones he found on shore were frozen and he was attempting to thaw them before ate them. :)
