Exploring through the woods, I looked up from trudging along and came face-to-face with this Barred Owl. I watched for a moment as the owl stretched its wings and shook itself dry, taking advantage of the break in the deluge of rain. I captured some photos before a murder of crows flew above the trees, making the owl nervous. It didn’t take long for this nocturnal hunter to fly off and relocate to a safer and quieter perch.
