last January I watched this Ermine hunt and kill a grey squirrel twice its size in a neighbours garden. He then proceeded to carry his prey from the garden, across a road and into a hollowed out tree. An incredible feat of strength and determination ! I took this photograph as the ermine popped out of the tree, his nose stained red from his fresh kill.
