After this Ermine had hunted down a local squirrel twice its size, he proceeded to carry it a long distance back to its den. Due to the difference in size, the Ermine had to carry its prey in short bursts then return to move it some more. This enabled me to lie in the snow and capture some eye level images as the ermine returned to collect his prey.
