A spread out group of Northern Resident Killer Whales surprised our boat on a pristine morning in Johnstone Strait, BC. Everything was quiet, all but the deep distant exhale of this bull male travelling, as the marine fog layer began to burn off with the morning sunrise. These marine mammals move back and forth throughout the area in search of food.
