Black bears on Vancouver Island gather at the streams and rivers every fall for the salmon run. Here they'll gorge themselves on salmon, this young bear was having a great time of it, catching multiple salmon and had already reached a healthy weight. This photo was taken from a safe distance in a permitted place to ensure bear safety.
