We had tremendous fortune in being able to see the renowned "Spirit Bear" in the Great Bear Rainforest in B.C. He was nicknamed "Boss" by the local people. He made a trip up and down the river during the day on his annual salmon 'fishing expedition'. He was competing with other black bears including a mother with 2 cubs.
