This image was shot recently in a town called Tickle Cove on the Bonavista, NL. Peninsula. This particular area is known as the Arch Hole (Sea Arch) and is a very popular destination. It's been designated as a Discovery Global Geopark and a UNESCO Global Geopark. Portion of the sea arch can been seen in this photo (bottom center). But I decided to climb to a higher point as I was interested in capturing the essence of the whole area. I also wanted to show the magnificent rock formation and the amazing colour of the red sandstone and siltstone rocks. These rocks are believed to be upwards of a half a billion years old and the shapes and textures of them are amazing.
