First it was the dark show of light with the Aurora Borealis streaking across the sky in a dance of greens. As the lights faded and the sun rose, the sky shifted into a contradiction of colours. The deep blues of night layered with the wisping clouds of vibrant orange. Glowing fire from below blending into the smoky black of the shaded clouds above. A pair of ravens, I pass each morning on their same perch, look out over an open hillside and seem to gaze upon the immaculate beauty along with me. It’s hard to imagine this place being coined “Alberta’s Forgotten Wilderness” when you view such unforgettable sights as this.
