Death is an inevitable force that catches up to all life, even the biggest and most majestic creatures on this planet. However, in death there is also life. While this humpback whale lost its life and now rests at the tip of Brier Island, Nova Scotia, it continues to give life. Its nutrients seep into the coastal soil, giving life to the plants that inhabit this rugged environment. Its meat provides food for the vultures that soar on the coastal winds. And it serves as a reminder of the connectivity of all living things that call Earth home.
