Shadow of a Quail

I came across a pair of California Quails as I was leaving the lake and got to spend a couple of minutes with them. After running around for a bit, they flew up to the top of a fence and then went behind the house. As fun as it was to see the Quails themselves, I think catching one's shadow was the highlight. I just love how you can see its little head floof even in its shadow. The harsh shadow plus the texture-riffic wall and curtains made me shoot with black and white as the end goal.
