While spending over a month living aboard a sailboat and guiding expeditions in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia in the fall of 2024, we experienced many "atmospheric rivers" and storm systems passing through. One morning, during a brief window between passing thunderstorms, the sun rays shone spectacularly through gaps in the clouds, making for one of the most dramatic scenes I have every witnessed. With the light rays appearing suddenly, I didn't have time to switch from my telephoto lens to a wide angle lens. So, I shot a high-resolution panorama of the scene by taking several images at 100mm, capturing the photo just in time before the light rays disappeared.
