Morning encounter at the marsh

The female wood duck with youngs came in from the right and kept moving left all the way without stoping. The male was feeding far back near the shore. He moved forward to have a close check on the little family. I thought he may be the father and would follow them but not at all. They cross each other with no emotions then he returned to his feeding ground. God knows what he came by to check. (taken jun 2024)
