Watching a Northern Harrier in action is an incredible experience. I spent hours immersed in the sight of this magnificent raptor gliding effortlessly over the fields, swooping and diving with precision to secure its next meal. Its movements are so smooth and deliberate, it feels like watching a graceful aerial dance performed just for you. Here in British Columbia, we’re fortunate to have an abundance of raptors, and the Northern Harrier is always a captivating subject for photography. This particular shot was taken in the Delta area, with the golden hues of sunset providing a stunning backdrop just before the harrier took off for another hunting round.
