A splash of Cormorant

A splash of Cormorant

A strong north westerly mixed with the flowing tide creates a combination of large white cap chop and massive ocean swells that crash along the west shore of Race Rocks. The cool mist blows across the entirety of the island and I swear the place vibrates ever so slightly as each wave slams against the rocks. Where cormorants typically perch to dry their wings, now is a storm of salt water spray that startles them suddenly causing panicked flight.
