A Day at the Beach

I went on a day trip to Vancouver Island to photograph the wildlife that gathered due to the herring spawn. To my surprise, a family of River Otters ran out from a culvert and went frolicking in the sea. Otters, both river and sea, are some of my favourite animals and were the last thing I was expecting when my attention was focused on sea-based wildlife.
