This young bald eagle gave me "The Look" from over 100 ft (30 m) away. He/she has nearly completed the transition to the adult white head, but there's still some brown left in the feathers. The picture was taken on October 22, not October 27. The fall salmon runs have started, but most of the eagles will arrive in another couple of weeks.
