It was spring, and humidity lingered in the air on this day. It was a storm to remember. The winds picked up quickly, taking out power, downing trees, and creating whitecaps on a usually calm lake's surface. A snow-covered Mount Ingersol glowed under dark, ominous clouds, showing how fierce and rugged these lands can be—wild, free, and untamed in the Kootenays, BC. I stood at the lake's edge, capturing Mother Nature's ferocity, fury and beauty.
