Months of waiting, met with uncooperative weather, trying month after month and getting up at ridiculous hours in order to time this one right, and I finally got my shot. A bright, nearly full moon setting on Saddle Mountain sits perfectly next to the old fire lookout, silhouetted against the rugged mountain profile, illuminated by the golden morning light coming up as the moon goes down. The two together co-create an interplay of light and color, where the sun's golden light illuminates the moon's fading presence against a canvas of a steely blue sky, creating a serene twilight atmosphere that bridges night and day.
