I travel halftime in my RV and was visiting Kelowna during the fall. I love birding and made a point to explore some spots while visiting. This pond was close by and proved busy with many feathered visitors. I was shooting some hooded mergansers bobbing along the waters surface painted in gold colors when this beautiful northern harrier landed on a branch extending over the water, surrounded by a halo of gold and light. It was a spendid scene.
