It's a peaceful morning walk along Upper Arrow Lake. The familiar call of a spotted sandpiper call out from a nearby field, still green and lush with spring growth. Scanning with my camera, I spot it perched and poised precariously on an old weathered stump. Its dark spots and white breast beautifully contrast against the vibrant field. The sky threatens rain and casts a beautiful muted light. I love overcast days; they are amazing for making colors pop. Standing unusually still, appearing demure, I captured this tiny, ever-alert bird in this vibrant scene, now one of my favorite shots.
