Silver Light - Hooded Delight

Nature came together on this day with soft, diffused light, a faint morning fog still lingered on the water's surface, a sea like glass, and a spectacular male hooded merganser swimming about on the hunt for breakfast. Most folks yearn for sunny days to get outside and enjoy. Me... I spend a lot of my time roaming about on cloudy days, which I find best for birding photography. I love working with and incorporating the elements of earth and weather in my photography. I packed up my RV and hit the road for a 5-month stay on Vancouver Island to winter along with the migrating birds, a perfect place to spend a winter under silver skies and escape the winter blues.
