After numerous quiet observations of the belted kingfisher, I've learned they each seem to favor certain perches or fishing spots. This one I often see on a Victoria, BC shoreline seems to favor this particular rock near the edge of the water where unsuspecting minnows hide in the shadows and she rarely misses!
