A Funnel Weaver spider (also known as a grass spider) decided to create its funnel web at the base of my plant pot. Each day I would look into the funnel to see if the spider was still there. I sat quietly with my camera and waited for something to happen. On day 3 the spider became curious and exited the funnel to get a better look at me. I was able to get many photos, and was honored the spider came out to visit. Eventually he/she retreated back into the funnel to wait for a meal.
