A Funnel Weaver spider (also known as a grass spider) decided to create its funnel web at the base of my plant pot. Each day I would look into the funnel to see if the spider was there. I sat quietly with my camera and waited for something to happen. Eventually, the spider became curious and came to the entrance of the funnel. Moving slowly and carefully, so I wouldn't touch the web, I used my 100mm Macro lens to take a couple of photos. Then I left him alone to continue protecting my garden.
