I can't help be amazed by the variety of curves, cracks, swirls, and other textures that are created as mountains form. What incredible forces of nature occurred to create such wonderful designs? I like to use my 100-400mm telephoto lens to photograph intimate portraits of mountains to show those crevices and other amazing features. I took this photo as the sun was low in the sky, creating an orange glow, and revealing the textures in all their glory.
