Light breaks intermittently through cloud cover, revealing the layered geometry of peaks and the glacial waters below. In this moment, the animal appears less as an inhabitant of the land and more as a sentinel — quietly surveying a domain shaped long before its presence. In the alpine world, scale humbles everything.
