This photograph was taken in Algonquin Provincial Park during a quiet moment on the highway. The raven had settled on a nearby branch, completely unbothered by my presence, which gave me the chance to capture its glossy plumage and that intense, intelligent gaze. I loved how the soft forest light brought out the subtle blues and purples in its feathers. Ravens are such iconic figures in Algonquin’s landscape, and I wanted this portrait to reflect both their mystery and their confidence.
