I was out for a drive over the weekend, hoping for Bluebirds, but I think they went somewhere warmer during a recent cold snap we were going through. On the drive home, I saw a Chukar sitting on the side of the road by itself. I pulled over, rolled my window down and started taking some photos. It crossed the road in front of me and started climbing a rocky hillside to get to the cliffs that I frequently see them in. I didn't see or hear any others around, but this was determined to find them, probably got left behind from the rest of the flock and was now playing catch-up.
