This is a grey seal (Halichoerus grypus) pup, sleeping soundly through howling winds and blowing sands of a typical winter storm on the Northwest Atlantic's Sable Island National Park (43.9337° N, 59.9149° W) in January 2023. This image highlights their special adaption to the cold, making the storm nothing but a breeze.
