This is an image of a grey seal (Halichoerus grypus) pup, less than a month old, heading out to sea for the first time. In this middle of the Atlantic, Sable Island National Park (43.9337° N, 59.9149° W) is home to the largest colony of grey seals in the world and the survival of such a unique wonder on the world is from the bravery of pups like this - ones that will head out into the unknown, to figure out the world on their own.
