A mother greys seal (Halichoerus grypus) and her two day old pup take in the sight of each other on Sable Island National Park (43.9337° N, 59.9149° W). Home to the largest colony of grey seals in the world, around 300,000 seals compete for a place to give birth and mate, so catching this mother in a moment of peace and stillness in the chaos of the breeding season was a rare moment indeed.
