This honeybee had so many Globe Amaranth to choose from it barely could sit still long enough for a photo. But after a few tries and learning its flight pattern, I was able to capture this. These flowers bloom in the summer and is a favourite flower to honey bees, butterflies and other pollinators as it's a steady source of nectar during the peak foraging season. Besides local gardens, Globe Amaranth are found in wild environments. They thrive in hot, sunny and well-drained environments and is a perennial that is highly drought tolerant.
